What is PinchKey?

PinchKey is a native macOS keyboard navigator and app launcher. Its main feature, Keymap, lays windows and apps over a visual keyboard so you can switch with one key. It also includes a Launchpad-style app grid.

How does Keymap work?

Open Keymap with its configurable shortcut. Press an assigned key to switch, hold it for a live preview, and press Space to move through Active Windows, Active Apps, and Favorite Apps. Zen mode shows the keyboard without assignments.

Which permissions does Keymap need?

Accessibility and Input Monitoring let PinchKey detect shortcuts and switch specific windows. Screen Recording is only needed for live window previews. Without it, switching still works but the preview image is unavailable.

Does PinchKey replace Spotlight?

No. PinchKey focuses on windows and apps. Keep using Spotlight for files, calculations, and system actions.

Do pinch gestures work everywhere?

Pinch gestures use public macOS touch APIs. Disable the system Launchpad or App Exposé gesture first so macOS does not consume the same 4- or 5-finger gesture.

Can I try it before buying?

Yes. The download includes a 7-day trial with access to every feature.

Is it a subscription?

No. A lifetime license is a one-time purchase, includes future updates, and activates PinchKey on up to 2 Macs.
