Privacy Policy
PinchKey does not require an account or use personal information for advertising.
Data stored on your Mac
Settings, keyboard assignments, app order, trial status, and license activation details are stored locally on your Mac.
Screen Recording
PinchKey uses Screen Recording only to capture a still image of each visible app window and display it as a live preview in Keymap and Window Switcher. Capture occurs only while PinchKey prepares or refreshes those previews. PinchKey does not record video or audio.
Window images are processed temporarily in memory on your Mac. They are not collected by the developer, written to persistent storage, included in analytics or diagnostics, or retained after the preview is replaced or PinchKey quits. PinchKey does not upload, transmit, sell, disclose, or share window images or window contents with the developer or any third party.
Other system permissions
The Mac App Store version uses registered system hot keys and does not request Input Monitoring. The direct-download version may use Input Monitoring and Accessibility locally for advanced shortcuts and specific-window switching. Typed text is not recorded, stored, collected, or transmitted.
Diagnostics
If you contact support, you may choose to share logs or system information to help troubleshoot an issue. This is voluntary and used only for support.
Payments
An independent payment provider processes checkout and payment details. PinchKey's licensing service stores the purchase email, license key, activation status, and device identifiers needed to issue, recover, and enforce the 2-Mac activation limit. PinchKey does not store card details.
Website analytics
The PinchKey website uses Umami Analytics to measure anonymous page views and basic traffic information such as referrers, browser and device type, operating system, and country. Umami does not use tracking cookies or collect personally identifying information.
